Top Deathcore Albums of 2022

Updated: Dec 29, 2022

1.) Enterprise Earth - The Chosen :

This was 2022's most eclectic and inventive approach to deathcore in my opinion, bar none. Great performances, genre mash-ups and album flow.

2.) Fit For An Autopsy - Oh What The Future Holds :

If Gojira ever made deathcore, I'd wager this is what you would end up with. Massive sounding album, full of heart and poignancy.

3.) Venom Prison - Erebos :

By far my favourite Venom Prison work so far.

The Welsh quintet have decided to shake things up by including bits and pieces of thrash, prog, industrial and even electronics in their signature style of "deathcore meets hardcore".

4.) Dr. Acula - Dr.Acula :

The most explosive and brutal album on this list in a genre that specializes in doing just that ; sprinkled with mathy dissonant riffs, this one could also appeal to mathcore fans.

5.) Some Say Kosm - Some Say Kosm :

Blackened Bloodborne-themed deathcore. That's it, that's the selling point, what are you waiting for?

6.) Chelsea Grin - Suffer In Hell :

Keeping things short and sweet while packing everything a symphonic deathcore album needs; this is how it's done.

7.) Shadow Of Intent - Elegy :

Perhaps a bit too bloated to my liking but Shadow of Intent have undeniably created a narrative of epic proportions with this symphonic deathcore opus.

8.) Cabal - Magno Interitus :

Blackened deathcore, industrial electronics and small hints of thall influences. Sounds good? It is; I just wish there were more standout moments.

9.) Spite - Dedication To Flesh :

Some caveman deathcore that bonks you on the head non-stop ; I did feel like it lacked variation to be more enjoyable though.

10.) AngelMaker - Sanctum :

Deathcore go BRRRR; Angelmaker had accustomed me to more creativity in their deathcore but this is still a fun record in all of its over-the-top glory.
