Long-time followers of thenoiseblog should be very familiar with the Maine downtuned mathcore duo (or is it trio now ? Bobby, explain yourself sir) by now given that I've been featuring each of their releases since their debut 2021 EP "The James Bevis Chronicles", which they have chosen to revisit and polish even further here for our listening pleasure, with a double-barreled blast of Twilight Zone inspired clobbering beatdowns.

Hopping on board the train to Willoughby for the second half of the project (the "new" material if you will) are Rich Lombardi of The Sawtooth Grin, Drew Slavik of See You Next Tuesday and Tyler Tremblay from Crippling Alcoholism's new lineup, continuing Serling's now tradition of bringing in prominent figures of the underground mathcore scene to incarnate various characters taken from the different Twilight Zone episode narratives they bring to life via their music, using their respective distinctive voices and styles to great effect.

With this release, Serling continue to hone and further establish their presence as the world's only "Twilight Zone mathcore band", embodying the odd and uncanny nature of the cult television show's themes and settings through face-melting tones and drum kit abuse, dissonant and skittering fretboard work complete with gnarly vocals.

Time to go down the rabbit hole if you haven't already!
