Taking it back to late 2022 for this one but I was genuinely surprised by the amount of quality from this pretty obscure debut album from the French post-metal underground.

"The Great Procession" has everything you'd expect from a great post-metal record, whether its scathing vocal performances (that definitely brought to mind Will Haven's Grady Avenell more than once), seismic riffs and bass that hits like tremors alongside some great drumming as well as more atmospheric moments that pace out the album nicely.

The production quality is also surprisingly polished and well engineered for such an underground project.

It's quite plain to see that a lot of work and some solid musicianship went into making this record and as such, it would be a shame if that effort was not appreciated more.

So if all things sludge and post-metal are up your alley and that FFO looks good to you, do yourself a favour and give this hidden treasure a listen,

I know I'm glad I took the time!
