"For the Love of It" is an explosive and surprisingly multi-dimensional chunk of chaotic hardcore.
The vocals took some getting used to but they bring such a visceral and raw energy to the record that by the time the album was over I couldn't help but love them.
There's bits and pieces of various influences from different subgenres scattered throughout the album which brings a great deal of diversity to the band's sound and keep things interesting (the obvious being screamo, metalcore, hardcore and mathcore but I even picked up some elements of post-metal, prog and even black metal in there).
The clean parts on songs like "Unconditional" were unexpected but worked really well with the intense energy this record brings to the table.
The bass tone sounds massive on this, the drumming really shines through as well and some of the guitar parts are really creative when they're not sounding like a hammer pounding against your eardrums (which is fine by me).
Overall, an extremely energetic record filled with raw passion that needs more attention, definitely check it out. (Bonus points for the album title which I really like a lot as well).
