Prime Alone is another solo project that offers a nice balance between dreamy post-rock and bleak post-metal with decent hints of agression.
Now, although "The Essence Lies in the Depth" is not the most original LP you'll hear this year within this genre, it is certainly very well written and produced, and almost every track contains some memorable and catchy guitar melodies.
I would recommend this album to anyone who is in search of post-rock that leans into the heavier, more desolate side of things and who wishes to listen to artists who aren't the obvious household names of the genre.
