I'm not gonna go too in depth with this one but I will say that "We Are Always Alone" is a pretty damn solid sophomore album that shows a nice progression in terms of the young band's sound and foreshadows even greater things to come from the Texan trio.
I think my favourite thing about this record is the way Portrayal of Guilt effortlessly blend black metal, grindcore, screamo and sludge together to create their distinguishable sound and further add to it with some creepy sound design here and there.
It's gritty, it's blistering, it's fucking filthy and if that's what you look for in music, just go for it already.
