"Rosewood" is an enchanting yet very energetic 18 minutes EP by the band Kaguu who, according to them, were heavily inspired by retro Nintendo game soundtracks for their sound on this project (the best example of this in my opinion is the closing track "Jacaranda").

I love how on one hand you get all these endearing guitar melodies and cute atmospheres with various synths and on the other you have this extremely dynamic (at times even pummeling due to the frequent use of double bass) style of drumming.

"Rosewood" is yet another masterclass of amazing musicianship with great production in a genre that is almost over saturated with talented instrumental acts, however, Kaguu have managed to create their own recognizable aesthetic and unique identity which has become further reinforced through this new EP.

So go ahead and feast your ears upon this fun and wholesome project!
