I discovered Joliette last summer at the 9th edition of ArcTanGent where they performed songs off of "Luz de Bengala" shortly before its release and they immediately made a strong impression with their explosive energy and stage presence.
Those same levels of unrestrained chaotic energy can be felt throughout this EP, which alternates between the rawer and more dynamic edges of post-hardcore and its more melancholic and pensive dimensions while also flirting with the frenzied characteristics of mathcore.
Definitely a must-listen for fans of the genre and it's very refreshing to hear a slightly different take on this sound from a part of the world that gets under-representated when it comes to these kind of music scenes.
