The last couple of albums by Bleed From Within, to me at least, feel a little like what Parkway Drive could have been today, had they not gone down the arena butt rock, radio metalcore road.
This thing is loaded with killer riffs and sick performances on all fronts yet regrettably starts to feel a little redundant as the album nears its close.
Aside from suffering from its length, "Shrine" doesn't reinvent metalcore by any means but is definitely a strong addition to this year's roster of releases in the genre and makes for a powerful and entertaining listen overall.
